Dandy Doubles
by Kendall Callas
WordPerfect offers valuable hidden functions if you tap certain keys
twice:
- List (F5) - Redisplay last List Files screen
- Search (F2) - Search again (to find the next occurrence of a
phrase)
- Help (F3) - Function key diagram (nice if you've lost your
keyboard template)
- Go to (Ctrl+Home) - Move cursor back to prior position
(before last action or major
movement)
- Screen (Ctrl+F3) - Rewrite screen
- Center (Shift+F6) - Center with dot leaders
- Flush Right (Alt+F6) - Flush right with dot leaders (snazzy
for quick tables)
- Merge Codes (Shift+F9) - Merge commands pick list
(These keystrokes work in WordPerfect for DOS 5.1. For WordPerfect version 6.0,
F1 is the
default Help key, and the bottom item listed doesn't work. In WordPerfect 5.0, the bottom
three
listed don't work. In WordPerfect 4.2, the bottom three listed don't work, nor does F5.)
